Account and Data Deletion
Last updated: July 15, 2026
App and Developer
Home Chef Assistant is developed by OneWeek Technologies. This page explains how users can request deletion of their Home Chef Assistant account data and related app data.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can request account deletion directly inside the Home Chef Assistant app. No email request is required.
- Open Home Chef Assistant.
- Sign in with the Google account whose data you want to delete.
- Open Profile.
- Open Profile & Settings.
- In Account deletion, tap Request account deletion.
- Confirm the deletion request.
Grace Period and Cancellation
After a deletion request is created, it remains pending for 7 days. During this time you can cancel it in the same Profile & Settings screen by tapping Cancel deletion request.
If the request is not cancelled within 7 days, Home Chef Assistant automatically deletes the account-related app data stored on our servers.
What Data Will Be Deleted
After the 7-day grace period, we delete account-related app data stored on our servers, including:
- Saved and recent recipes
- Favorite recipes
- Kitchen profile and selected equipment
- Meal plans
- Shopping lists
- Food preferences and nutrition profile data
- Cloud sync records associated with your app account
- Server-side Plus entitlement records associated with your app account
What Data May Be Retained
Some records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing, or operational integrity. Purchase and subscription records may also remain available through Google Play according to Google Play policies.
Deletion Timeline
Account data is scheduled for deletion 7 days after the request. Backup copies, if any, may take up to 90 days to expire from backup systems.
Deleting the App From Your Device
You can also delete locally stored app data by uninstalling Home Chef Assistant from your device. This does not automatically delete server-side account data if you used Google Sign-In or Plus cloud sync.
